No sale a internet.

Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 2, 2026

hitNote is a karaoke app that works over your Wi‑Fi network. It has no user accounts, ads or analytics, and it collects no data: it sends nothing to its own servers or to third parties.

What it usesWhere it stays
Your voiceTravels over your Wi‑Fi network to the mixer. It never goes to the internet.
Your nameSeen by the mixer and the other phones connected to it.
RecordingsOnly on the mixer, in the Files app.
VideosOnly on the phone that recorded them, in the Photos app.
SongsOnly on the mixer, where you add them.
Shared screenAudio only, and only to the mixer, while you share.
PurchasesProcessed by Apple. hitNote only knows whether the purchase exists.

Microphone

hitNote uses the microphone so your voice can be heard in the karaoke. On a phone, your voice goes to the mixer over Wi‑Fi and, if you listen in headphones, it also plays on your own phone. On the mixer, its own microphone or the inputs of an audio interface are used. Audio is not stored unless someone records.

Local network

hitNote finds the mixer on your Wi‑Fi network and sends audio directly between devices. Only devices with hitNote open on that network take part. To recognize each other they use the name you type and a random identifier the app creates; none of it leaves your network.

Your name

The name you type in the app lets the mixer know which track is yours. It is shown on the mixer and on the other phones connected to it. It is stored on your phone and on the mixer, and is not sent anywhere else.

Recordings and songs

Session recordings and the songs you add stay on the mixer, in the Files app. hitNote does not upload them anywhere. You decide whether to share them and with whom, and you can delete them at any time.

Camera and Photos

For videos, the camera records only the picture; the sound comes from the mixer, which passes that part of its recording to your phone over your network. The video is saved in your Photos app and hitNote does not upload it anywhere.

Screen sharing

When a device is a Streamer, or when the mixer shares another app’s audio, iOS asks for permission to share the screen. hitNote uses only the audio: on the mixer itself or, from a Streamer, by sending it to the mixer over your network. The picture is neither used nor stored.

Purchases

hitNote Pro is bought inside the app, through the App Store. Payment is processed by Apple: hitNote never sees your payment details or your Apple ID. The app only asks Apple whether this Apple ID, or your Family Sharing group, has the purchase, and keeps the answer on the device. So the mixer knows what to allow, each phone tells it over your network whether it has hitNote Pro, with no other data.

Technical logs

To look into audio dropouts, hitNote writes technical connection data, such as dropouts and latency, on the device itself. The logs are in the Files app (hitNote › Registros), are deleted automatically after 7 days and are not sent anywhere: they only leave the device if you share them.

hitNote does not collect your location, contacts, photos, advertising identifiers or usage data.

Apple

If you chose to share analytics with app developers on your device, Apple may give the developer crash reports and anonymous statistics about the app. If you test hitNote through TestFlight, also the feedback you send. Apple handles this under Apple’s privacy policy, and you can turn it off in Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements.
